marriages and were more of a friend that any of them ever was. I
owned you since you were a mere handful of a kitten, and for 24
years you remained loyal, loving and sweet. You cooed like a pigeon,
you slinked like a snake, you kissed like and butterfly, and you
remained harmless and loving all through the years. You traveled
across the country with me, outlasted many younger companions, battled
illness like a trooper and came through all adversity dealt to you.
I am sad that it took me so long to acknowledge and memorialize you,
and hope you understand it was because I denied you being gone. I
still look for you to be lounged out on my side of the bed, awaiting
me to climb in next to you. But I am told you lived a long and
healthy and very full life. So I wish you adieu, my friend. |

our lives when I needed you so badly, I was so homesick & the
kids were grown & this was a new experience for me, I needed to
take care & nurture someone. I chose you over another
puppy, because you truly looked like you needed to be taken care of.
So God put us together, because we needed each other. You had alot
of health problems & they never expected you to live a long
life, but we sure proved them wrong. I fell so in love with
you I couldn't believe myself, I had never had this wonderful
experience of having my own dog. Its so hard to call you a dog
because we treated you like a human & you thought you were
human. You were the sweetest most beautiful collie with a soul
made from God, You were so kind to babies, kids, other animals, you
truly were our little girl. You lost your hearing, you were
having difficulty walking, Daddy carried you down the stairs because
you were scared & didn't think you could make it. You
turned 13 on July 18th & we were so happy, we truly thought you
were going to break all records, we took you to Hilton Head as we
always did, but this time wasn't the same & before we knew, we
were visiting you in an animal hospital & they are telling us
you are ready to die, we stayed with you & you looked so happy
to see us walk through that door & yet so sad & so tired, I
cuddled you to sleep as I always did because you were always
like a baby to us, you were so innocent. I awoken at 4am with
strong feelings of you & prayed to God that he make you well or
take you home while in your sleep, so you wouldn't be frightened,
you were such a baby girl, so innocent, you didn't even realize you
were a big dog, your best friend was Tara, a little white dog.
When I go walking I see her & she always is looking up the
street for you, she misses you so badly, it breaks my heart.
You were not only a very beautiful female Collie, but anyone
who knew you, knew you were the sweetest dog any family could have.
Daddy & I are so lost without you, the house is so quiet I can't
stand it, you & I were always together, you did everything with
me, & now I'm alone & sad like I never thought
possible. I can't believe someone so beautiful could be gone,
we would give anything to have you back, but we know that is not
possible. Lassie its been 4 months since you passed away &
I still think, you are going to come home to us, that this can't be
permanent, that we will never see you. It hurts so much I
don't know when it is going to get easier. I know we couldn't
have given you more love & spoiled you & treated you like
one of the family, & in turn, we were blessed for 13 years to
have you in our lives, it just wasn't enough time. Lassie, my
sweet baby girl, please help mommy & daddy to try & accept
the way you died & to not cry everyday or every time I mention
your name or look at all the pictures we have of you. Well my
little girl, you were quite the Lady & there will never be
another. I love you like I gave birth to you myself, I guess
like always I will continue to pray for you & pray that when we
cross over the Rainbow Bridge, you will be waiting for us.

part lab and part basset hound, he had the best personality!! At Sea
Island Animal Hospital he had the nickname of "The

able to smile when I walk through the door, instead of crying,

were the best dog anyone could have asked for. You walked by my side
without a leash and listened to my every word. Even when I told you
to watch the kids, you went outside and sat with them in the yard
"just to keep an eye on them", even though you really
didn't want to. You never really were the kids' dog, even though you
were supposed to be. You always just wanted to be with me by my
side; I don't know what I did to deserve such love and loyalty.
Snowball, you will be greatly missed by me, Dad, and "all the
kids"! I know you are playing with all your old friends just
like you did so very long ago. Until I see you again, be a good girl
and listen to whoever you're supposed to, I think it may be my

to have you in my life when your Mom (Auntie Ginny) allowed me to
take you and Belle into my home to be with the other Parakeets. I
loved to watch you pick up your little balls and put them in the
basket. You brought me so much joy and laughter. You loved to talk
to candle holders, ink pen tops, and the telephone and had fun
playing with Buddy, and the "girls". I know that you are
in Heaven now and your body has been made well again, and you are in
no pain. I hope you are having fun with Dolly and Madison (your
Chocolate Lab siblings), and your fellow feathered friends that had
gone ahead of you Buddy Budgie, Baby Blue, Schnookie, Corky, P. T.
Barnum, and Baby. You were "mommies" boy. You loved to
have this song sung to you that your Mom Ginny would sing to you,
and that I continued to sing to you while you were with me, until
you took your last breath while I held you in my hands close to my
heart: "Cuddles...baby cuddles...cuddles...cuddles...mommy

| Bailey White 8-12-04 Bailey was the most special "dogger"
in the world. She was so strong and did amazing things in her life.
She was just a mutt from the SPCA, but she was the strongest spirit
we ever knew. After being told that our "dogger" not only
had one terminal illness, but two, we struggled with many decisions.
We decided to try everything to prolong the quality of her life. She
learned how to deal with the loss of her leg and how to eat food she
really didn't like. She struggled through chemo and kidney flushes,
but always stayed strong. We did gain 6 extra wonderful months with
her, but in the end she could not endure anymore. We love you Bailey
and know that you are in the right place now. Thank you for 10
wonderful years and for always guarding our children. You are in
heaven now with all the other family dogs enjoying your days, and
that gives us peace. We will see you someday and we will hear all
about the things you have accomplished in heaven. Here is a big hug
and a kiss sent to you from all of us. Rest in peace and thanks for

| Skooter Swierskowski 8-12-04 Skootie-Our little
munchkin of a puppy. We miss you so much, your warm little body next
to me as I read the morning paper and enjoy you and my first cup of
coffee. Kristen still mourns you as do your Mom and Dad. You were
such a tough little puppy as the last 3 years were not the best for
you as you aged. You made it to 15 1/2 and we loved every minute of
it, maybe not the trash can moments, however! Someday we will see
you again and all of those who have gone before us. You will meet
those who were gone when you entered our lives, thanks to Matt and
Kristen. They left for college and you stayed, thank goodness. I had
you all to myself. We Love You and Miss You So Much, this house is
so empty. All our love, Mom, Dad, Kristen and Matt.
Skootie-The cutest little munchkin of a puppy. Mom and Dad miss you
so much, your warm little body sitting next to me in the morning
while I enjoy you, my coffee and my paper. The house is so quiet now
and your are much missed by all of us. Kristen is still so sad, as
are the rest of us. We await the day when we can see you again and
be with all those who have gone before us. You are with me always
and I love you so much and wish the last 3 years had been kinder to
